Thought I would play with some left over wool scraps yesterday and make some felted soap. This little project took all of 10 minutes and was quite meditative to do.I'm feeling lots of presents for people coming on!
I have made up a tutorial up on my web site if you are interested in making your own felted soap. I'm thinking I may actually sell smaller amounts of dyed wool for people to play with themselves. What do you think? It really is very easy to do and other than wool, soap and a drawer liner, sushi mat or small piece of bubble wrap your ready to go!
Oh my goodness! I LOVE This!! I actually am using one now (well, currently ;). It is a pink round soap from Anthropology. What a exciting video - I can't wait to check it out! xo
ReplyDeleteIs this really soap? It looks so pretty, should make a lovely soap, as it's something you want to put into your hand! Great idea! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteI love the colors. I have made felted soap and it is a fun quick project that even kids can help with. Thank you for all the information that you gave me yesterday on dyeing wool. I really love tutorials.
ReplyDeleteI like felted soap and it nice to know how to make it. Your wool is beautiful and I think a great addition to you shop. Thanks for sharing!

Hey Julie, I couldn't get the links to your website and tutorial to work. It took me to a weebly sign up page. I love those colors! So that's real soap? Supplies are huge on Etsy, I bet you could really find a market for your wool.
ReplyDeleteI think that link is sorted! Let me know if its not. Julie
DeleteThis is FANTASTIC, I love it!! I just pinned your post onto my Pinterest board so that I can make one the first chance I get! I have tons of roving downstairs that I'm not using, what a great way to utilize it all! I see presents in my future... ;)
