Buongiorno everybody, after browsing through the Quilting Arts mag I have decided to have a go at the gelatine prints. Looks like a lot of messy fun, and will give me some painted fabrics for other projects I have on the go. Did I tell you not only was I learning Italian, but I am also doing the Playways course with the Thread Studio (see link blow).
Yesterday I made up 2 plates of gelatine using 2 pkts of Davis gelatine per 1 cup of cold water. So my quantities were 4 cups water to 8 pkts gelatine. After bringing mix to a gentle boil and melting the gelatine, I filled 1 pie plate and 1 dessert bowl. This was placed in the fridge overnight and has set nicely. Today, inbetween making fairy cakes for my daughters 17th birthday ( she also wants fairy bread and party pies and little frankfurts, how cute!) I will go and play with dyes and some white cotton. I will post a few photos in the next day or so to show how I go.
Ciao, if you are learning Italian, BUONGIORNO A TE JULIE! I'm Italian, My name is Italo! Who can be a better teacher ahahahhahahahah! Have a nice weekend!!!!
